Switzerland’s national airline too, wants to use the promotional effect of the European Football Championship. As “Airline for all Fans”, Swiss Air Lines decorated its Airbus A320, registered HB-IJM, with hundreds of real fan pictures, collected in a competition. Since November 1, 2007, the football airplane with the German-Swiss battle cry “Hoop Schwiiz” on one side of the fuselage and the French version “Hop Suisse” on the other, has been on tour across Europe. Now a 1/400 scale model of the football airplane will be released.
